Customer records can store a customer-level address in locationInfo. This address is shown in the company detail sidebar’s Identity fields, even when the customer has no linked Location records.
Use Location Info for the detected or manually entered company address that belongs directly to the customer record. Use Locations for reusable warehouse, dock, pickup, delivery, or other project address records that can be linked to customers, contacts, stops, and tradelines.
In edit mode, operators can fill or update the customer street, postal code, city, and country code fields directly from the company sidebar. Saving writes those fields back to customers.locationInfo.
The shipment detail customer card shows the linked customer’s company ID and reads the address from customers.locationInfo. It does not fall back to linked Location records or cached customer address rows for that customer-card address line.
If a customer also has linked Location records, those remain visible in the Locations section and the default linked location remains separate from the customer-level Location Info address.
